CDO, in collaboration with Mvomero District Council, conducted a four-day HIV awareness and self-testing campaign, reaching over 500 community members to support the global 95-95-95 HIV targets.

To support the Government’s efforts in ending new HIV infections and contributing to the global 95-95-95 HIV targets, CDO, in collaboration with the Mvomero District Council, conducted a four-day HIV awareness and testing campaign from August 26 to 29, 2025, targeting community markets and public gatherings.

The outreach covered the wards of Kanga, Mtibwa, Nyandila, and Melela, reaching over 500 community members with vital education on HIV prevention and access to Self-Test services. This safe and confidential oral fluid-based test empowers individuals to know their HIV status in the comfort of their own space.

This initiative supports the 95-95-95 goals by helping more people know their status (first 95), promoting linkage to care (second 95), and contributing to viral suppression through early detection and awareness (third 95).
