The Mtoto Kwanza Project is a three-year initiative (2022 – 2025) funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation through Tanzania ECD Education Network (TECDEN), aimed at accelerating the implementation of the National Multisectoral Early Childhood Development Program (NM-ECDP), which was officially launched in December 2021. The launch of the NM-ECDP has created opportunities for a wide range of Early Childhood Development (ECD) stakeholders to actively support its implementation across the country.
In Morogoro region, the Mtoto Kwanza Project is implemented through a partnership between the Government of Tanzania, Children in Crossfire (CiC), Tanzania Early Childhood Development Network (TECDEN), Union of Tanzania Press Clubs (UTPC), and the Childhood Development Organization (CDO).
CDO serves as the Regional Coordination Unit (RCU) for Morogoro, responsible for coordinating all project activities in the region, facilitating stakeholder engagement, strengthening multisectoral collaboration, and ensuring effective implementation of the project in alignment with national priorities.
