Strengthening CSO Capacity: CDO Participates in Vijana Plus Training Workshop in Morogoro

We had the opportunity to participate in a five-day training workshop held in #Morogoro under the #VijanaPlus project implemented by Save the Children. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) implementing the project in key areas of organizational management.

The workshop focused on important topics including Finance & Supply Chain management, Resource Mobilization & External Relations, and Project Management & Development. Through these sessions, we gained valuable knowledge and practical skills that will help improve the performance of our organizations and enhance efficiency in implementing projects aimed at community and youth development.

These trainings followed the Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) and Organizational Capacity Development (OCD) processes conducted by Save the Children for all organizations implementing the Vijana Plus project, including @cdo_mzumbe. This step is essential in ensuring that organizations receive professional support and capacity-building opportunities to strengthen their institutional systems and deliver better services to the communities they serve.

Through this training, we continue to strengthen our institutional capacity in project management, financial accountability, and resource mobilization, enabling us to further advance our efforts to support children, youth, and the wider community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Save the Children through the Vijana Plus project for investing in the capacity building of local organizations. Such initiatives strengthen collaboration, improve the performance of civil society organizations, and ultimately contribute to creating positive and sustainable change in the communities we serve.

We remain committed to valuing and supporting the efforts of stakeholders who invest in strengthening community-based organizations, as strong institutional capacity is a key foundation for achieving meaningful and lasting development in society.
