TUNAWEZA Project aiming at advancing Community-Led Combination HIV Prevention for Adolescent Boys and Young Men (10–19) in Mvomero District” in Tanzania.
The project is supporting the implementation of the National Plan of Action to End Violence Against Women and Children (MTAKUWWA II), The Fifth National Multi-Sectoral Strategic Framework for HIV and AIDS in Tanzania 2021/2022–2025/2026, The National Strategic Framework for HIV, STIs and Viral Hepatitis Control (NASHCOP 2023).
In line with these strategies, the project will contribute to:
Reducing new HIV infections among young people.
Strengthening HIV prevention among populations at higher risk.Increasing access to HIV prevention education within communities. Promoting community-based participatory approaches for HIV prevention.
