CDO in collaboration with Changarawe Project

The principal donor registered in UK with the Charity Commission of London is implementing “Changarawe project (Funded by Carolyn Walford)” in Morogoro region-Mvomero District-Mzumbe Ward since 1997, The Changarawe Project covers the following programme components.

There are two projects implemented by Childhood Development Organization under Changarawe Project which are:-

Nigel Lloyd Students

CDO supports orphans Students from Mzumbe Ward

Since 2005, the organization has been supporting 150 orphan students from Mzumbe ward, with all scholastic materials, including mattresses, bed sheets and mosquito nets.CDO sponsors orphans from primary schools, O level, A level and College

Nigel Lloyd Resource and Library Center programs for orphans students

CDO in collaboration with Nigel Lloyd has library center called Nigel Lloyd Library and Resource Center,where supported students learn mathematics through software called WHIZZ/MATH program,access different subject text books where contracted teachers come to guide the students.

Tailoring activities (entrepreneurship Training to orphans students and Community)

At Nigel Lloyd Library and Resource Center there are tailoring activities where Orphans and other people from the community learn tailoring activities for 3 to 6 months

 

Babu/Bibi Project

Social Day Event every month.

CDO conducts a social day event once a month where elders and students meet and have lunch together, also elders receive a package of flour, beans and laundry soap for home use. students also get pieces of laundry soap.

Health Insurance to elders (CHF Cards)

At the beginning of each year elders are given Health insurance cards (Community Health Fund-CHF) for their treatment when they get sick, CHF Cards are given to all bibis and babus at the beginning of the year.

General services are normally given to elders

There are some general service are normally given to elders, these services includes matresses, bed sheets, mosquito nets and food ration (Beans, Maize flour and laundry soap)
