The inception meetings brought together key education stakeholders to align on the project’s objectives, implementation approach, and expected outcomes. The meetings were accompanied by a baseline survey that collected primary data prior to project implementation. The baseline assessment established benchmark information that will guide implementation, support effective monitoring, and measure the project’s impact on teacher performance and students’ academic outcomes throughout the intervention period.
As part of the inception activities, the CDO team visited the selected Teachers’ Resource Centre (TRC) to assess the existing infrastructure and engage with education stakeholders on opportunities and challenges related to teacher professional development. The visit reaffirmed the importance of investing in Teachers’ Resource Centres as a key strategy for strengthening teaching quality and improving learning outcomes.
CDO extends its sincere appreciation to the Kilosa and Ulanga District Councils, education officials, school leaders, teachers, and all stakeholders for their cooperation and commitment toward the successful implementation of the Mwalimu Bora Initiative (MBI).
