On December 1, 2024, CDO and Mvomero District Council hosted a meaningful World HIV/AIDS Day commemoration at Mlali Market under the theme “Chagua njia sahihi tokomeza UKIMWI” (Choose the Right Path to End HIV/AIDS).” The event brought together over 1,000 people for HIV prevention education, family planning advice, and reproductive health sessions. Key achievements included 150 people voluntarily tested for HIV, over 50 people referred for care, and 60+ people donating blood. With an inspiring message from the Mlali Ward Councilor, the day showcased the power of community collaboration and reinforced CDO’s commitment to reducing HIV infections, empowering young women, and creating healthier futures for all.
