CDO, as the Regional Coordination Unit (RCU) for the implementation of the Mtoto Kwanza Project in Morogoro Region, in collaboration with the Morogoro Regional Commissioner’s Office, successfully convened a Regional-Level Review Meeting on the implementation of the National Multisectoral Early Childhood Development Program (NM-ECDP).
This important meeting aimed to review and discuss the progress of key interventions designed to ensure that children aged 0–8 receive responsive care, adequate nutrition, healthcare, protection, and early learning opportunities — a critical stage that forms the foundation for lifelong development.
The Guest of Honour, Hon. Mussa Ally Mussa, Regional Administrative Secretary of Morogoro, urged participants to continue working collaboratively and intensify efforts in implementing these interventions to achieve both national and global goals for creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
The meeting involved participation from:
- Implementers of the NM-ECDP at the regional and LGA levels
- Social welfare, nutrition, community development, and health officers from across Morogoro
- Child development partners and member organizations of @tanzaniaecdnetwork
Participating organizations included:
EDO, TYCCO, Wake Up Women Organization, Kidsafe Fund, Malema Foundation, and @cdo_mzumbe (RCU).
We remain confident that through these joint efforts, we can continue to strengthen ECD systems and contribute to national and global agendas focused on “Leaving No One Behind.”
