CDO and Mvomero District Council Conduct Monitoring Visits to Strengthen Peer Educators’ Performance and Youth-Friendly Health Services Across 15 Wards

CDO, in collaboration with Mvomero District Council, has conducted monitoring visits to assess the performance of Peer Educators and strengthen youth-friendly health services at health facilities under the TUNAWEZA Project.

Through this project, Peer Educators were selected from the 15 project implementation wards and trained on HIV/AIDS to equip them with accurate information, enable them to educate and encourage young people to protect themselves against HIV, and link them to available health services within their communities.

The monitoring visits commenced on 27 October 2026 and covered all 15 wards in Mvomero District: Mtibwa, Kinda, Hembeti, Dakawa, Mziha, Mibure, Mhonda, Mgeta, Langali, Nyandira, Lubungo, Mlali, Homboza, Melela, and Doma.

These visits aim to strengthen the work of Peer Educators, improve the delivery of accurate health information, and ensure that young people have access to quality, youth-friendly health services that respond to their needs.
