CDO participates in the Skills for Employment Forum 2026, sharing experiences in youth economic empowerment.

We had the opportunity to participate in the Skills for Employment Forum 2026, held on 9 June 2026 in Morogoro under the theme “Vocational Skills That Lead to Income for Vulnerable Youth.”

The forum brought together stakeholders from government institutions, the private sector, and vocational training institutions to discuss effective approaches for equipping vulnerable youth with market-relevant skills, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable income-generating opportunities. Key discussions focused on vocational skills development, youth entrepreneurship, access to finance, gender inclusion, and strengthening training systems to better support young people in their transition to decent work.

Through our participation, we gained valuable insights, shared experiences, and strengthened partnerships with other stakeholders working to advance youth economic empowerment.

As part of our ongoing commitment to youth development, CDO has been implementing economic empowerment initiatives in Mvomero District Council, reaching more than 300 young men and women with entrepreneurship training, business development skills, and start-up capital support to help them establish and expand their income-generating activities.

We believe that investing in vocational skills, entrepreneurship, and access to economic opportunities is essential for empowering young people to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to sustainable community development.
